Meal Plans

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2008-09 academic year.  If you need to purchase a meal plan or if you would like to make a change to the plan you have already selected, simply contact Darla Hettinga by August 1, 2008, for fall semester.

Plan Options

21-Meal Plan
21 meals per week with no flex money to be used at The Hub or cafeteria.

18-Meal Plan
18 meals per week plus $75 in flex money to be used at The Hub or cafeteria.

15-Meal Plan
15 meals per week plus $150 in flex money to be used at The Hub or cafeteria.

10-Meal Plan
10 meals per week with no flex money. Students living in campus apartments or cottages, as well as students who are student-teaching or interning off-campus, may purchase a 10-meal option.

Block 180
This plan offers 180 meals per semester to be used in the cafeteria any time throughout each semester. Unlike the per week plans above, these meals do not expire on a weekly basis and may be shared with friends and family until the end of the semester. In addition, this plan includes $110 in flex money per semester to be used at The Hub or cafeteria.

Northwestern ID Card
Your Campus Dining Services Meal Plan is managed through you Northwestern ID card, which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the plan you have selected.

Lost or Stolen Cards
Lost or stolen ID cards can be replaced.  Should this happen to you, go to the student development office. A fee of $10 will be charged for replacement cards.

Seconds Policy
You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus Dining Program.  Our generous policy allows for a second helping of many menu favorites.  All you have to do is ask!

Dietary Needs?
Do you have particular dietary needs?  No problem!  Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements.  For more information, please contact ReNae Van Voorst at 712-707-7185.

Dining Procedures
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your tray and disposables from your table when you have finished dining.
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that ID cards representing your meal plan are non-transferable.  Cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
