3. Enter your students name and ID number and your ready to add Flex to your students account!
In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2012-13 academic year. If you need to purchase a meal plan, go to MyNorthwestern and choose a meal plan or if you would like to make a change to the plan you have already selected, simply contact Darla Hettinga in the Student Development Office at darlah@nwciowa.edu or (712) 707-7200. Deadlines to make changes are August 15th, 2012 for returning students and August 27th, 2012 for new students in the Fall Semester and December 31st, 2012, for returning students and January 14 for new student in the Spring Semester.

Plan Options

19-Meal Plan
Any 19 meals, 7 days per week. Plus $75 Flex Dollars per year.
15-Meal Plan
Any 15 meals, 7 days per week. Plus $150 Flex Dollars per year.
10-Meal Plan
Any 10 meals , 7 days per week. No Flex Dollars.
Block 180
This plan offers 180 meals per semester to be used in the cafeteria any time throughout each semester. Unlike the per week plans above, these meals do not expire on a weekly basis and may be shared with friends and family until the end of the semester. In addition, this plan includes $110 in flex money per semester to be used at The Hub or cafeteria.
Married Student Plan
Any 50 meals per semester
(Meal Plans: 19, 15, & 10 include three exchange meals to be used in the Hub). |

Northwestern ID Card
Your Campus Dining Services Meal Plan is managed through your Northwestern ID card, which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the plan you have selected.
Lost or Stolen Cards
Lost or stolen ID cards can be replaced. Should this happen to you, go to the student development office. A fee of $10 will be charged for replacement cards.
Seconds Policy
You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus Dining Program. Our generous policy allows for a second helping of many menu favorites. All you have to do is ask!
Dietary Needs?
Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information please contact Chef BJ Whitmore at 712-707-7362.
Our Campus Dining Services can accommodate several different dietary requirements. If you have questions or special dietary needs, please follow the procedure as outlined in the Special Dietary Accommodations Form (click here to download the form).
Dining Procedures
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:
- Please clean your table when you have finished dining.
- Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
- Remember that ID cards representing your meal plan are non-transferable. Cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
